A Blessing
My Thanksgiving Menu, Poem and a Blessing
It’s almost here, friends.
As I write this, I have my turkey brine simmering on the stovetop, the scent swirling deliciously in the air. I have shopped and prepped, baked and cooked. My pie shells are ready to be filled, and my casseroles planned. Here’s our menu for Thanksgiving 2025:
(and yes, my Mother has already shared it with her health care providers as noted in a previous post).
If you are hosting Thanksgiving dinner then you understand how much work goes into creating the experience. Yet, it’s well worth it.
For me, it brings me so much joy to create that experience for others.
Despite our desire for a wonderful meal, let’s not forget what this day is about. Family. Both present, and missing from the table.
Every year, I create a new holiday poem. This is about what Home really means to me. Home is wherever my family is.
Finally, I’ll be using this blessing for our dinner:
Happy Thanksgiving to one and all.
P.S. to the chefs: enjoy Black Friday, a/k/a Leftovers Day.
See you next week.
Xo,
Michelle
